First Friday of the Month
8 Months: October - May
This is a hands on, story filled journey through the history of natural fibers including wool, flax, cotton, silk, and hemp, and the way people around the world have used them for centuries.
We start with raw fiber you can hold in your hands and follow it through each step until it becomes something lasting and beautiful. Along the way, kids learn hands on how fibers are spun, woven, and dyed, and they discover the traditions, skills, and cultural wisdom that have been passed down through generations.
From feeling the texture of freshly shorn sheep’s wool to creating their own finished project, this block connects children to the natural world and to the resourcefulness of people who came before us. It is hands on, meaningful work and it is a LOT of fun!
Pricing (8 Months)
$40, billed monthly. Includes all materials, instruction, and final performance!
