Start your frog

Pull off a bundle of green roving and cover half of your dryer ball. Place the ball on your felting pad and begin felting, poking straight up and down.

Rotate as you work, making sure the wool becomes very secure before moving on.

Build your frog

Add a small amount of green roving to create a raised bump for the head and felt it down firmly.

Use small pieces of green to form arms and fingers, felting each piece securely into place.

Add eyes by shaping small white circles and felting them onto the head, then add tiny black pupils.

Use pink roving for a tongue and small rosy cheeks.

Add light green spots by forming small circles and felting them onto the body.

Continue felting across the surface, keeping your needle straight up and down, until everything feels secure and well attached.

Create your second dryer ball

Use your remaining colors to create a pattern or design of your choice. Let it be playful and organic.

Felt thoroughly so all fibers are securely attached for use in the dryer.
